We have an exciting new job opportunity in the Natural Sciences Department at Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales. This role is to undertake a variety of curatorial projects, and you will work with curators and collections across the department in all our sections - geology, botany and zoology.
You will join a dynamic department, helping to ensure that our collections are curated and cared for to maximize access and enable wider use. In this role you undertake curation, documentation and other collection care work. This will include retrospective documentation on collections and updating records on our collections management systems.
This post will also involve auditing and reconciling outstanding national and international loans. Ensuring the appropriate documentation is present and being responsible for the packing, checking and tracking of loans.
You will have the opportunity to take part in public events, activities to promote the collection and the Natural Sciences department. The job will involve supervising volunteers and students. The post reports to the Head of Collections Development.
